Ropice one of the oldest communities on Těšín. The village was founded around the 12th or 13 century. The first surviving reference to the historical village can be found in the list of tithes, the bishop of Wroclaw 1305th The importance of community contribution and its advantageous location on the road leading from Cieszyn to Jablunkova and on to Hungary. In 1804 the village had 101 houses in which lived 732 inhabitants. In addition, there were branch church, farm, Castle, music, 2 pubs, 3 mills, a sawmill, brickworks and quarries.
